"Preserve, Protect and Condemn explores the future of government controlled healthcare in America. The bad news is that you might not have one."

In the 1960’s, when the Catholic Church did away with the prohibition on eating meat on Fridays, my father used to say the rules changed because the Pope sold his fish market and bought a butcher shop.  Now, your federal government has announced new food guidelines which tell us to eat a “plant based diet;” less red meat, but more eggs, less fish, but coffee is now OK.   So, I guess, not enough cattlemen  and fishermen have contributed to the Democrats, but the egg farmers and the Starbucks execs did cough up the contributions.  Oh, by the way, the government also wants to monitor the number of hours you sit in front of a TV,presumably with a meter on your ass.  I don’t know how this will affect the disabled.  Where’s Joe Biden when you need him?  “Stand up Chuck!”  The next step will be to decide what channels you are permitted to watch during your allotted TV time.  Then we are only a small step away from government re-education camps, where our eyes are clamped open so we don’t miss what the government decides we need to see.  Anybody remember A Clockwork Orange?  At least it had a good musical score.  All together now –  singin’ in the rain …
