The Bible’s Book of Revelation is the New Testament’s prediction of the apocalypse, or End Times.  No, I haven’t taken up sack cloth and ashes, nor have I begun to roam the countryside preaching that the end is near.  I don’t have to, and that’s the point of this piece.  We already have an organization that’s been preaching the apocalypse for as long as I can remember – it’s the Democrat Party.  Think about it.  On virtually every issue, the Democrats promise us that the end is near.  It’s always the same song.  Every year, no matter what Republicans are doing, Democrats preach the same gospel.  “Armageddon.  Millions will die!”  They warn of extreme privations that can be cured only when we surrender more of our rights to government masterminds.  It’s right out of the Book of Revelation.  St. John would be proud.  My thoughts went to Revelation in the wake of the Democrats’ latest outrage over Coronavirus.  Unable to defeat Donald Trump over orthodox political issues, Democrats, and their media lackeys, have seized on a disease as their latest hope of ridding themselves of this troublesome president.  In Revelation, we learn of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.  Revelation was written in the First Century.  It was thought to refer to Roman Emperors, but it’s equally applicable to today’s Democrats.  Revelation 6:2: “I looked, and there before me was a white horse!  Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.”  There was a time when the political Parties had more similarities than they had differences.  Each Party had its own ideas about how to get things done, to be sure, but there was a commonality of purpose. Both Parties recognized the Constitution as the law of the land, not just an obstruction on the way to absolute power.  The two Parties worked together when necessary, and our national security was always more important than the next victory.  Now there is no consensus on anything, not even on public health.  It didn’t start with Coronavirus.  Long before this flu season, in their mindless zeal to advance identity politics, Democrats were telling us that screening people entering the country for communicable diseases was a racist policy that offended groups they hoped to cultivate as likely voters.  How is it that the dangers of spreading AIDS, cholera and tuberculosis can be overlooked?  It’s because, for Democrats, politics isn’t about convincing voters they’re right, it’s about conquest.  Behold a white horse.  Revelation 6:4: “Then another horse came out, a fiery red one.  Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword.” The second horseman is said to represent civil war.  Who in this country is preaching revolution?  Why it’s Democrat frontrunner Bernie Sanders.  He’s openly advocating the revolution to come, promising to scrap the system that has created all the wealth that he vows to strip from the underserving sinners who earned it.  All Bernie needs is the red horse, he’s already old enough to have biblical roots.  Revelation 6:5: “and there before me was a black horse!  Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand.  Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures (the Squad?), saying, ‘A quart of wheat for a day’s wages, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!’”  The third horseman of the Apocalypse refers to a great famine to come.  The scales are necessary to dole out what little food is left to the starving masses.  This is right out of the Democrat playbook.  They are forever predicting that Republican policies will starve the poor.  “Think about the children!”  Your grandmother reduced to eating dogfood.  But once again, this Democrat foretelling of doom demonstrates their utter inability to perceive irony.  Privation and famine result not from the policies they seek to change, but from their own quest for a socialist worker’s paradise, in which the government controls all from the cradle to the grave.  The people of Venezuela aren’t suffering from the effects of supply-side economics.  Their abject poverty is the direct result of unbridled socialism, to the point where they have run out of dogfood, and have taken to eating the dogs.  This is the promise of Red Rider Bernie Sanders.  Can’t you just picture President Sanders’ Treasury Secretary Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, astride her black horse with her scales held high?   Revelation 6:8: “I looked, and there before me was a pale horse!  Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him.  They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.”  The Fourth Horseman is also known by the names “Pestilence” or “Plague.”  This one is ripped right from the latest headlines.  Just watch any of the news conferences being given by the Coronavirus Task Force.  First, they criticized the fact that Vice-President Pence was put in charge of the Task Force.  “Why, he’s, he’s, religious.  He may rely on his religious or political beliefs instead of on the medical professionals.”  Never mind that the medical professionals are all standing behind him answering the questions.  They keep saying the risk to Americans from the virus is low, but Democrats won’t have that.  They’re rooting for pestilence and plague, because they figure it will help them get elected.  Dr. Fauci, “The risk is low.”  “Sure, doctor, but when can we expect the inevitable nationwide epidemic that will kill thousands, and it’s all Trump’s fault?”  Who are the really sick people here, those with the virus, or the media whores?  The Book of Revelation ends with the second coming.  Despite the cries of the Democrat Jeremiahs, I don’t think they’re foretelling the advent of Bernie Sanders.  More likely, what’s coming is the second term of Donald Trump.
