FRANK ON FRIDAY – Make America Scared Again

Return with us now to 2020.  The Wuhan pandemic was raging across the land.  Hospitals were overwhelmed.  Here in New Jersey, we reached a high of 8,200 patients hospitalized for the Wuhan.  There was an election campaign.  President Trump traveled far and wide, promising to “Make America Great Again.”  Corrupt Demented Imbecile Joe Biden traveled from his crapper to his basement, incoherently blaming Trump for a disease.  Trump moved heaven and Earth to produce Wuhan vaccines.  Mumbly Joe and Cackling Kamala said, if Trump made them, they wouldn’t take them.  Strangely, the Chinese plague intensified just before the election.  Between October 2020 and January 2021, deaths attributed to the Wuhan rose from 900 a day to a high of 4,400 in one day.  Mumbly Joe blamed Trump for 400,000 deaths during the last year of his presidency.  There have been 200,000 deaths in the six months that Biden has been in office, but they’re not his fault.  Then, a miracle.  The day after Biden beat Trump, Moderna and Pfizer announced their vaccines were ready.  Vaccinations began in mid-December.  Hospitalizations fell 90%.  Deaths fell 95%.  Restrictions went away.  Masks came off.  States began to amend their voting laws, to do away with Wuhan-induced innovations like drive-through voting and universal mail balloting, which led to unprecedented irregularities in 2020.  Democrats declared any voter security law to be racist, arguing both that it was minorities who took advantage of drive-through voting, and that those same minorities were unable to travel to get  identification.  Meanwhile, inflation raged.  The economy stalled.  Biden’s popularity dipped, and Cackling Kamala’s approval crashed.  On the Wuhan front, Biden promised that 70% of the population would have the Trump vaccines by July 4th, hinting that he might then permit us to live our lives without government interference.  He failed.  The budget process is a shambles.  Democrats are now attacking one another.  Something had to be done.  No doubt recalling Biden advisor Anita Dunn’s observation that the Wuhan virus was “the best thing that ever happened to” Biden, Democrats have hit on a new slogan.  “Make America Scared Again.”  The Wuhan virus, like all viruses, is subject to mutation.  Variants arise.  The first Wuhan virus was Alpha.  I guess the Beta and Gamma variants weren’t scary enough, because we heard nothing of them.  Likewise the Epsilon through Kappa variants.  Then there’s the Lambda, from Peru.  But, ah, the Delta variant.  Now we’ve got something.  This one came from India, not from the airline, and it’s tailor-made for the Left.  It’s more contagious than the Alpha variety.  It’s also far less deadly, but that’s not helpful, so forget that.  For the past 18 months, the CDC has given us mixed signals on the subject of masks, to wit:  masks don’t work; don’t wear masks; do wear masks; you must wear masks; wear two masks; if you’re vaccinated you don’t need masks; and, even if vaccinated, wear a mask.  It’s no wonder we’re all doing the CDC hokey-pokey –

Joe Biden, needing to lay blame, declared the current Wuhan Delta flareup “a pandemic of the unvaccinated,” calling those who don’t get vaccinated “stupid.” (And he ought to know).  Two problems there.  First, it’s no longer a pandemic.  Today, instead of 8,200 Wuhan hospitalizations in NJ, there are 400.  Secondly, what’s the point of Joe insulting his own voters?  The current media meme is that Republicans and Fox News are responsible for vaccine hesitancy.  This is, for want of a better word, a lie.  Here in NJ, these are the towns with the lowest vaccine rates – Newark, Irvington, Orange, East Orange, New Brunswick, Trenton, Camden, Passaic, and Lakewood.  Getting the picture?  There are precious few Republicans in those places, and I dare say few who even know what channel Fox News is on.  In California, the vaccine rate in Berkeley, is 36%.  No Republicans there.  The media decries Washington County, Missouri’s 23% rate, leaving some 18,000 unvaccinated.  Apparently, the 143,000 unvaccinated folks in St. Louis aren’t a risk.  I wonder why?  In fact, only about a third of African-Americans have been vaccinated.  In Arkansas and Louisiana, there’s a persistent rumor that the vaccine will make a person magnetic.  One doctor goes around with a magnet to disprove this.  I shit you not.  Maybe it’s a pandemic of the truly stupid.  Backtracking on its “vaccines will make you free” meme, the CDC now wants vaccinated people to wear masks indoors.  Vaccine shaming has become popular.  The ever annoying Dr. Fauci says the decision whether to mask is not up to us.  I guess it’s up to him.  The excuse we’re being given is “breakthrough infections;” fully vaccinated people who test positive.  We’re told it’s a serious problem.  It’s not.  For those still hung up on facts, here they are – of the 160 million or so vaccinated Americans, 99.923% remain uninfected.  Breakthrough infections amount to 0.077%, or about 77 positive tests per million people.  Of these, 4 will be hospitalized, and less than one will die.  I’m not minimizing the Delta flareup, understand.  If your doctor gives you no medical reason not to get the vaccine, then go get it.  In New York, and other places, they’re offering $100 if you get vaccinated.  Picture that.  You get free medical treatment and $100 to boot.  It didn’t work.  Hence the CDC mask message.  Once again, the government has chosen to punish those of us who follow the rules, because of those among us who choose to ignore them.  They said get vaccinated, and we complied.  But now, we’re supposed to put on a mask, allegedly to protect those who don’t have the sense to take something that’s free that may save their lives.  The website Axios told an inconvenient truth, “Here’s the Delta dilemma for government and the media.  Reassuring most vaccinated Americans they don’t need to freak out could backfire if it causes those who are at risk to let down their guard.”  So there it is, Make America Scared Again.  We’re not being told to wear masks because we need masks, or even because masks work, and they don’t.  We should wear masks to convince the unvaccinated that they should get vaccinated.  Watching 600,000 of their fellow Americans die didn’t convince them.  Lockdowns didn’t convince them. School and business closings didn’t convince them.   But, if the jackasses who follow the rules and who are paying these stupid bastards not to work will just wear a mask, they’ll get the point.  Sure.  Bill Maher came closer to the truth, “We have to cover our faces so others can cover their asses.”  On one hand, Biden doesn’t want to admit he’s failed to distribute the vaccine.  On the other hand, Democrats  desperately hope the Wuhan never goes away, to extend Covid vote fraud into 2022.  Enough!  If politicians can order us into masks one day, then flaunt their own rules the next, then screw the masks.  If the government warns us to avoid large crowds, while Il Duce Obama throws himself a birthday party for 475 guests and 200 staff on his Martha’s Vineyard estate, then screw him too.  Make America Free Again.

(P.S. – After this was written, Il Duce Obama bowed to pressure and cancelled his party.  George Clooney, Steven Spielberg and Oprah now have to buy their own dinners tomorrow.)
