FRANK ON FRIDAY – Pardon My Back-Up

By now you are well aware that Corrupt Demented Imbecile Joe Biden has issued his son Hunter a blanket pardon that covers any crimes Hunter committed, “or may have committed” from January 1, 2014 to December 1, 2024.

Biden’s statement regarding the pardon was insulting.

“Today, I signed a pardon for my son Hunter.” It is a “full and unconditional pardon.” He said he decided to issue the pardon because his son was “selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted,” “Hunter was treated differently” from people who commit similar crimes.”  The president said his political opponents in Congress “instigated” the charges “to attack me and oppose my election.”  He said in his statement, “I believe in the justice system, but as I have wrestled with this, I also believe raw politics has infected this process and it led to a miscarriage of justice. … I hope Americans will understand why a father and a President would come to this decision.”  He further claimed Hunter Biden was “singled out” for prosecution “only because he is my son.”

I will delve into this nonsense below.

You also may recall that Joe Biden repeatedly, and unequivocally, stated that he would abide by the verdicts of the courts hearing Hunter’s gun possession and tax evasion charges and would not issue a pardon.  A jury convicted Hunter on the gun charges, and he pleaded guilty to evading more than a million dollars in taxes.  He was scheduled to be sentenced later in December.

What was it all about?  Let’s recap.  The gun charges stemmed from the notorious laptop from Hell, that Hunter brought to a Delaware repair shop, and then never picked up.  On it were thousands of email messages and photographs revealing Hunter’s crooked political kickback schemes (which included his father, “The Big Guy”), and graphic evidence of his drug use and debauchery.

The tax evasion charges stemmed from some of the laptop emails, reams of subpoenaed documents uncovered by Congressional investigators, plus testimony from Hunter’s partner in crime, Devin Archer, business partner Tony Bobulinski, and IRS whistleblowers who documented Hunter’s tax frauds, and Department of Justice attempts to cover them up.  Simply put, the evidence against Hunter and his crooked family was, and is, what appellate courts are fond of calling “overwhelming.”

Ordinarily, which means, if it were you or me, once you’ve been convicted, or pled guilty, punishment is the next order of business.  As they say, you do the crime, you do the time.  Put another way, you have to face the music.  You know, like,”Bad boys, bad boys, what you gonna do when they come for you?”  That is unless your father happens to be the President of the United States.  In that case, there’s a whole different kind of music.

Joe Biden was born in the 1940’s, so it could be a Swing Era tune, like, Glenn Miller’s Chattanooga Choo Choo.  Here’s Joe now –

“I pardoned my boy, who’s just a crackaholic cuckoo
In room 29, he had the hookers and wine.”

Don’t like that?  How about a more contemporary song, like  Lynn Anderson’s Rose Garden?

“He begged a pardon
As we were strolling in the Rose Garden
I pardoned all crimes
Maybe he’ll tell us what they were sometime.”

Yeah, don’t hold your breath on that one.

For those of us who have been paying attention the past four years, the Hunter pardon came as no surprise.  We know that Biden lies about everything all the time, so when he vehemently denied that he would pardon his son, we gave the statements no more credence than when he told us, “the border is secure.”

However those on the Left, the brain damaged Never Trump, Democrat Socialists, the people who have defended Biden’s perfidies all these years, are not enjoying the music at all.  They have been torn into two camps – one camp is made up of Biden Administration employees and media apologists who lack even a passing acquaintance with reality, and who  continue to alibi for Joe.

These imbeciles are trying to convince the public, as well as themselves, that Biden didn’t lie.  Chief among these is the erstwhile KJP, Biden spokesperson, and Little Orphan Annie impersonator, Karine Jean-Pierre.  KJP told reporters Joe didn’t lie.  “He said he came to this decision this weekend … and he said he wrestled with this and, because he believes in the justice system, but he also believes that the war politics infected the process and led to a miscarriage of justice.”

Even the sycophants of the Press weren’t buying that.

REPORTER: “He’s saying his own Justice Department is broken.”
KJP: “He believes in the Justice Department.”
REPORTER: “He just said it’s infected with politics!”
KJP: ………..
REPORTER: “How many selective prosecutions are there at the DOJ?”
KJP: I can’t speak to that.

See, it wasn’t a lie, it was a reversal.  Joe just backed up into the pardon.

The View co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Ana Navarro placed the blame where all blame belongs, on Donald Trump.  Surprised?  They claimed Biden initially did not intend to pardon Hunter, but decided to do so in order to protect his son from Trump’s alleged plan of executing “retribution and vindictiveness” on his political opponents.  Of course no such plan exists, but what can you expect from a pig but a grunt?

The other camp consists of media figures who were perfectly willing to lie to keep Democrats in power, but now are confronted with Trump Part II, and so must pretend that they are shocked- shocked that a lie ever could pass Joe Biden’s lips.  This group is rightfully embarrassed, as they extolled Biden’s dedication to the rule of law when he said he wouldn’t pardon Hunter.

Crooked former DOJ hitman Andrew Weissmann declared on MSNBC that, “He is not doing it because he is living what it means to have a rule of law in this country.”  A number of  alleged journalists praised Biden for “taking the high road” unlike Republicans, and proving that “no one is above the law.”  They now regret their rhetoric.

CNN’s Elie Honig – “I mean, Joe Biden, let’s be clear here, he lied to us for a long time.  “Well, now he’s gone back on that.”  You figured that out huh, Elie?

Here’s the detestable Chuck Todd – “What kind of precedent will we have set if both parties accept the premise that whoever is elected is going to politically prosecute his or her opponents?” “What’s the general public supposed to think of the justice system now?”

Whew!  Maybe Biden expects retribution because he and his Justice Department brought political prosecutions against Trump and family for the past eight years.  Hopefully, the public will now be convinced that the Justice Department has been corrupted and must be reformed.

As for Biden’s bogus reasons for the pardon, they simply don’t wash.  Biden respected the justice system before the convictions, but now has realized it’s corrupt?  And don’t forget.  Although CNN now blames the prosecution on “Trump appointed” U.S. Attorney Weiss, in August 2023, when he was appointed special counsel, CNN reported the truth – Attorney General Merrick Garland announced Friday that the Trump-appointed US attorney who is investigating Hunter Biden has been given special counsel status.”

So, we are to believe that Biden concluded that his own Attorney General and his own Justice Department practices selective political prosecutions.  He’s saying his own appointee, Merritt Garland, brought charges against his son “to attack [him] and ruin his election.”  No thinking person  believes that crap.

I suppose one explanation for Biden’s pardon reversal is that Joe Biden really is so brain dead that he failed to notice his Justice Department’s corruption, until a turkey dinner brought on a lucid interval last weekend.  Except that would be just one more lie, as insiders have reported that Biden has been discussing the pardon since last Summer.

I guess the Democrats will have to change “No one is above the law” to “Only Bidens are above the law.”  This truism will be borne out in January, when Sleepy Joe pardons the rest of his crooked family.  He’ll have to do that now, as Hunter’s pardon strips him of his right to remain silent, and his testimony can be compelled regarding what other crimes “he might have committed” and with whom.
