FRANK ON FRIDAY – No Evidence?

The House of Representatives has begun an impeachment inquiry of Corrupt Demented Imbecile Joe Biden, concerning the receipt by companies run by Hunter Biden and his partners of in excess of $20 million from foreign companies, many of which are affiliated with foreign governments.  Records obtained by the House committee to date show that much of this money made its way into the bank accounts of members of the Biden family.  Demonstrating their utter contempt for the American people, and exhibiting a level of hypocrisy that only leftist Democrats have the unmitigated balls to utilize, we have been treated to a chorus of complaints from Democrats, some Republicans, and a lapdog media which long ago abandoned any semblance of impartiality  and respect for journalism, that there exists “no evidence of any wrongdoing by President Biden.”  Such statements would be ridiculous and insulting enough coming from any Democrat.  However, when they come as they have from the likes of Adam Schiff (for brains), Nancy Pelosi, and Eric Swallwell, they really strain credulity.  The House is conducting an impeachment inquiry because that’s the only way to break through the tissue of lies, foot dragging, and obstruction of governmental functions that has come from the Biden Administration, and its coconspirators in the Justice Department. They want to short-circuit any scrutiny whatsoever into the activities of the Biden Crime Family, from the time when Biden was Vice-President, right up to this very day, as Joe Biden continues his relentless destruction of our form of government, our economy, and American culture in general. When these obstructionists say that, at present, there is no definitive proof that Joe Biden is corrupt; a smoking gun if you will, that may be so.  However, it has become abundantly clear that the obstructionists are justifiably afraid of what inevitably will come to light should the investigation go forward, as it definitely should.  The Democrats, you see, are devotees of the Three Monkeys school of law.

They are content to let the sleeping monkeys lie, for fear that the investigation will uncover the truth, which is that, since his arrival in Washington in 1973 as the poorest Senator in the Congress, Joe Biden and family have lined their pockets with graft, realizing a fortune which has been amassed by Joe Biden’s shameless sale of whatever public office he has held.  The claim that “no evidence of wrongdoing exists” is a sick joke.  Democrats subscribe to the notion, attributed to Joseph Goebbels, that a big enough lie, if told often enough, eventually will be accepted as the truth.  Studies have shown that a person needs to hear something 9 times before it’s believed, and the Democrats and their media are putting that theory to the test.  But, “no evidence exists?”  What is evidence?  First, let’s cover what evidence is not.  Even in a criminal trial, it isn’t necessary to prove something beyond all possible doubt.  Jurors are instructed that it isn’t necessary to prove a crime to an absolute certainty, but just beyond a reasonable doubt. Thus a jury must be firmly convinced of guilt.  Now, keep in mind that, for impeachment, the standard of proof isn’t even that high, and further keep in mind that right now, we’re not even talking about an impeachment, but merely an investigation into whether an impeachment is warranted.  No case, civil, criminal, or political presents itself right out of the box with iron-clad evidence of culpability.  Simply put, nothing can be proven if you close your eyes and refuse to look.  To begin a criminal investigation, a prosecutor needs a good faith basis, which basis comes from a reasonable suspicion of wrongdoing by some individual or group.  In the case of Joe Biden, that basis unquestionably exists.  For that matter, for my money, what exists already is a case of criminal culpability.  Evidence may come from testimony of witnesses, documents and records of activities, and statements of suspects about those activities.  All those forms of evidence already are in this case.  The evidence may be direct or circumstantial.  Direct evidence may come from an eyewitness or participant in the activities.  Circumstantial evidence may come from the surrounding circumstances which leave the fact finders with the firm conviction that a crime has been or is being committed.  Both direct and circumstantial evidence exists in this case.  What evidence?  The committee has bank records from about 20 companies associated with the Bidens, through which more than $20 million has flowed from foreign companies in Romania, Russia, China, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan.  Those countries coincidentally are countries over which then Vice-President Biden exercised oversight responsibility during the Obama presidency.  At least 16 times, Joe Biden has lied about his involvement in son Hunter’s overseas business dealings, claiming he had nothing to do with his son’s activities.  Hunter’s business partners Tony Bobulinski and Devon Archer have testified that Joe, also known as the big guy, was involved in those dealings as a partner in many of them.  That’s evidence.  Hunter’s emails and other messages from his laptop corroborate the involvement.  That’s evidence.  The Bidens used at least 20 shell companies to move money from account to account, much of it finally winding up in bank accounts of Biden family members.  FBI and IRS whistle blowers have confirmed this.  That’s evidence.  You know who uses shell companies to hide or obscure financial transactions?  Criminals, specifically money launderers, who are trying to hide the truth from accountants, the IRS, and ultimately from the unsuspecting voters.  To this day, it’s unclear exactly what Hunter Biden was selling to foreign companies in exchange for all this money.  He made no product, and offered no legitimate services.  Hunter’s partner Devon Archer has explained, telling investigators that “the Biden family was the brand.”  They were selling Joe’s influence.  Hunter himself confirms this stating in an email that his value to Chinese investors “has nothing to do with me and everything to do with my last name.”  Joe took Hunter to these countries 15 times on Air Force Two.  He met with Mexican and Ukrainian business partners, and he hid his communications with Hunter by using at least 3 aliases in emails.  You know who use aliases?  Criminals.  The activities caused the U. S. government to issue over 100 Suspicious Activity Reports on suspect financial transactions.  Even one such report is grounds for a criminal investigation.  On top of this, Hunter himself complained that he “has to give half his salary to Pop.”  When Ukrainian investigators threatened to expose corruption in the Biden Burisma contract, the Ukrainian partner asked Hunter to “call D.C.”  He did.  This led to the famous or infamous Biden trip to Ukraine, during which Joe later boasted he threatened to withhold a $1 billion U.S. loan guarantee unless the prosecutor was fired, “and son of a bitch, he was fired.”  When Donald Trump tried to get the Ukrainians to expose this criminality, Nancy Pelosi and company impeached Trump.  Yet these are the same lying bastards who are telling us with a straight face that there’s no evidence that Biden’s corrupt.  Of all the lies and liars who populate Washington, D.C., this latest atrocity has to be the worst.  Tell your friends that, yes Virginia, there is evidence that Biden’s a crook.  If need be, tell them that at least 9 times.

FRANK ON FRIDAY – The Perils of P.I.N.O.

Officials who identify themselves as Republicans, but who don’t advance conservative values, are known as R.I.N.O.’s, Republicans in Name Only.  It occurred to me that Corrupt Demented Imbecile Joe Biden is a P.I.N.O., President in Name Only.  Now over 80 years of age, every public appearance Biden makes is an embarrassment to the United States of America which gives aid and comfort to our enemies.  It has been apparent from day one of his Administration that Joe Biden cannot be running the show, because he’s incapable of doing so.  For Democrats, Biden was the perfect candidate at the perfect time.  Their formula for victory was his advancing senile dementia, a phony media, content to overlook any flaw and swear to any lie, and  the Wuhan Plague that permitted Biden to hide in his basement, and permitted Democrats to count dubious mail ballots weeks after election day.  It worked.  They sold Biden to America as a moderate, which indeed he had been.  Now, Joe Biden never was the sharpest tool in the shed.  Even before he became Il Duce Obama’s Vice President, Mark Levin was calling Joe, “the dumbest man in the Senate.”  He was on the Obama ticket not to give Il Duce advice, but to give the appearance of experience to a presidential candidate who himself had very little political experience.  Obama always knew what Joe was though, famously telling people in 2020, “Never underestimate Joe Biden’s ability to fuck things up.”  However, Biden was the perfect empty vessel to be used by the Woke imbeciles running the Democrat Party.  Does anyone seriously doubt that it’s Il Duce Obama and his minions who are pulling the strings behind the scenes at the White House?  Sleepy Joe has admitted he’s really not in charge on several occasions, telling reporters he can’t answer their questions because “I’ll get in trouble.”  With whom?  So clearly, Joe’s not running the show.  Biden began proving that he was mentally null and void from the first day of his presidency. This was a signing ceremony on January 20, 2021.  Biden was heard to say, “I don’t know what I’m signing,” to which Kamala replied, “Sign it anyway.”  After that things got worse.  How many times has Biden “fallen up” the stairs to Air Force One?  He fell off his bike during a publicity event designed to show how vigorous he is for his age.  He fell at a military ceremony.  His public appearances, even those with visiting heads of State, often devolve into bouts of mumbling gibberish.  And he has a habit of falling asleep at inappropriate times.  Here he is during a speech on climate change, which Biden insists is an existential threat-

In Maui, supposedly to comfort victims of fires that destroyed Lahaina, Joe just couldn’t keep his eyes open –

Last week, Biden went to the G20 Summit in India.  He stopped in Hanoi, where he praised the Vietnamese for erecting “a memorial to John McCain.”  The memorial actually celebrates the fact that they shot McCain down and imprisoned him.  At a press conference, Biden answered a question about relations with China with, “Tell you what, I don’t know about you, but I’m going to go to bed.”  Then, the first president not to be in New York or Washington on 9/11, Biden stopped in Alaska, where he advised that we should “Never forget, never forget, never forget.”  It’s a shame he lacks the capacity to take his own advice.  And then there are the constant lies that the media chooses either to ignore, or to affirm.  Former New York Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia really was the perfect political candidate.  His father was Italian, his mother was Jewish, and he was a Protestant.  When an opponent accused LaGuardia of antisemitism, LaGuardia challenged the man to a debate – in Yiddish.  I guess Biden wants to be like Fiorello, because, according to him, he either was raised in Pennsylvania by Irish parents, or by people from Poland, Italy, Puerto Rico, or was raised in Jewish synagogues.  Take your pick.  Joe Biden’s entire private life is no more than a fable.  He has claimed all of the following, all of which are bald-faced lies:  he was born in the same hospital where his grandfather died days before; he was appointed to the Naval Academy; he went to an historically black college, Delaware State; he graduated at the top of his law school class (really 76th of 85); his former wife and daughter were killed by a drunk driver; oil refineries in Delaware gave him and his neighbors cancer; his son Beau died in Iraq.  And not content to lie only about his private life, Biden’s pronouncements on political affairs are equally lacking in credibility.  With the truth staring him in the face, and the complicity of the lapdog media, Biden has uttered complete lies such as:   Take-home pay has gone up; We have created a record 12 million new jobs; I have presided over the largest deficit reduction in American history  (It’s about to balloon to $3 trillion); Two years ago, our economy was reeling (it expanded by 7%); Oil companies have invested too little of their profit to increase domestic production and keep gas prices down (he cancelled oil leases); Now, thanks to all we’ve done, we’re exporting American products (we have a$ 1 trillion trade deficit).  Then there’s the old Democrat standby, the wealthy don’t “pay their fair share.” The top 1% pay 50% of taxes, and the top 10% pay over 70% of taxes.  Biden claims he was offered a job by an Idaho lumber company; they have no record.  He claims he “used to drive” an 18-wheeler — it didn’t happen.  He’s said he visited Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life synagogue after the 2018 massacre – he’s never even been there.  Then this week, Biden recounted a visit to Ground Zero on 9/12/01.  He wasn’t there. Biden’s bad poll numbers have prompted some Democrats to grease the skids to get rid of Joe for 2024.  The word has gone out to the lapdog media that it’s now OK to criticize his age and mental acuity.  An opinion piece published by Newsweek noted, “Biden is the first president in modern times to end press conferences without taking impromptu questions from the White House press corps.  The “lid” time that ends presidential activity for the day generally closes in the early afternoon.  In public statements, Biden often loses his place, mispronounces words, forgets names, interjects inapposite or inappropriate phrases, veers into weird digressions, and fails to complete sentences.  At major events, he has been filmed unsure of his surroundings, acting disoriented, and falling asleep.  The President stumbles and falls with alarming frequency for a man who must stand toe-to-toe against Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping.  And when challenged by reporters or frustrated by White House aides, he lashes out in confused and incoherent rages.”  Yet outlets like MSNBC continue to shill for Biden, “We’ve seen little to indicate that Biden is suffering any real cognitive decline.”  MSNBC chides reporters for saying Biden is too old, because, if the media says that, people will believe it.  We don’t need the media to tell us he’s too old, we can trust our own eyes.  We can’t afford a President in Name Only.  We deserve a physically and mentally fit president who we know is in charge.  Unfortunately the MSNBC commentator mentioned above isn’t all wrong.  Democrats will believe whatever the media tells them.

As Louisiana Senator John Kennedy has noted many times, “You can’t fix stupid.”

FRANK ON FRIDAY -The Impending 2024 Train Wreck

We’ve had many remarkable presidential elections in America, but the impending 2024 contest is shaping up as a potential train wreck.  More than 60% of those polled say they’d prefer candidates other than Corrupt Demented Imbecile Joe Biden and Donald Trump.  I’ve made my feelings known.  I think Trump did a great job as president, but the Left has succeeded in poisoning his name, making his ability to win a general election of real long shot.  Most Americans agree with my assessment of Trump’s accomplishments.  In a Wall Street Journal poll, 51% say Trump had a strong record of accomplishments.  Remarkably, 40% said the same of Biden.  Wonder what they’re smoking?  The latest poll had little good news for Sleepy Joe.  Between 52 and 63% of those polled disapproved of Biden’s handling of the economy, inflation, the border, China, and Ukraine.  28% of those polled said the economy has improved since 2021.  This 28% must be made up of government employees, illegal aliens, and recent visitors to cannabis dispensaries.  The economy sucks, and Bidenomics is a bigger fraud than its namesake.  When asked who they would vote for if the election was held tomorrow, the result was a tie, with both Trump and Biden at 46%.  This was a surprising result for both candidates, but for different reasons.  An incumbent president at 39% approval, and polling 46% in a shaky economy is troubling.  Two thirds of Democrats want someone other than Joe.  That Trump remains at 46% is remarkable.  In 2016, Trump got 46.2% of the vote, after 24 hour a day bashing and lies from the Media, and a coup attempt by the Obama Justice Department and the CIA.  Between 2016 and 2020, Trump suffered constant riots, a world-wide pandemic, a phony Russia investigation, a traitorous Deep State bureaucracy, and 2 impeachments.  In 2020 Trump got 46.8% of the vote.  Since 2020, Trump has undergone the same Media barrage, plus bashing from Fox News and other Murdoch outlets, a reduction in big donor revenue, 2 civil suits and 4 indictments, and he’s still at 46%.  Democrats spied on Trump, they used so-called law enforcement agencies to keep him from being elected, they sabotaged him after his election, created a phony Russian collusion investigation, protested, rioted, and impeached him twice with no effect.  Now they’ve decided to imprison him for life, but after 4 indictments his support hasn’t wavered.  I shudder to think what’s next from the Party that stops at nothing.  All this said, it’s safe to say then, that we can expect Trump to get about 46% of the vote in 2024.  The problem is, in a two-way race, given the Democrat penchant for ballot box stuffing and other election shenanigans, that’s just not going to be enough.  And these are the numbers that have convinced me that Trump is unlikely to beat Biden head to head.  This is why running against Trump is the Democrat plan for 2024.  If they have to face another candidate, the Dems are in deep trouble, and they know it.  But what if 2024 isn’t a two-way race? If Joe Biden remains the candidate, and that remains in doubt given his frailty, his increasing dementia, and the evidence of his lifelong criminality, he faces serious impediments.  73% of Democrats say Biden is too old to run again, and only 36% of voters say Biden is mentally fit to be president.  Given that statistic, the fact that 46% would still vote for him makes you wonder about the 10% who know he’s unfit and will vote for him anyway.  And no, these are not low intelligence or low information voters.  Professor Alan Dershowitz is one who knows Biden is both inept and corrupt, but even he says he’d vote for him again.  I ascribe it to Leftist brain damage and Trump Derangement Syndrome.  But the truth is, no matter how many times Biden tells us that inflation is down and that he’s reduced the deficit, people know the truth.  They’re spending an additional $700 a month to maintain the same standard they had under Trump, and the deficit and debt just keep going up.  Add to this Biden’s constant gaffes, falling down and spewing of gibberish, and the 7 million newly arrived illegal aliens, and that’s trouble for Democrats.  Their only hope is to beat Trump head to head, because more than half the voters won’t vote for Trump.  But what if voters have another alternative?  We’ve had a number of presidents elected with less than 50% of the popular vote, when third Party candidates have drawn off enough votes to make a difference.  In 1912, Woodrow Wilson was elected with 41.8%.  Bull Moose Teddy Roosevelt got 27.4%, Taft got 23.2% and Socialist Eugene Debs 6%.  Four years later Wilson was reelected with 49%.  1968 was a wild one.  Nixon was elected with 43%, Humphrey got 42% and George Wallace got 13.5% and won 5 States.  Bill Clinton never got more than 50% of the vote.  In 1992 it was Clinton 43, Bush 37 and Perot 19.  Clinton got 49% in 1996, when Perot’s vote fell to 8%.  In 2000, many believe Green Party candidate Ralph Nader cost Al Gore the presidency, when he got nearly 3 million votes, 2.75% of the vote.  Bush won with 47.9%.  I already mentioned Trump’s 2016 46.2% victory.  Having a Republican elected with less than half the popular vote wouldn’t be a novelty.  The Republicans have cracked 50% only once since 1988, with 50.7% in 2004.  Will there be a third party run?  Well, Cornell West is already the Green Party candidate, but I doubt he’ll make a difference.  The No Labels Party is already on 10 State ballots, and is flirting with running a candidate.  Depending on who the candidate is, No Labels could spell the difference between a Trump defeat and a victory.  Names have been thrown around like Joe Manchin, RFK, Jr., and former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan.  I doubt Manchin would pull the trigger.  He always talks a good game, then folds himself back into the Democrat swamp when the chips are down.  The only possibility of him running is if he’s convinced he won’t win reelection to the Senate from West Virginia.  I also don’t think RFK is going to be the candidate.  Like Manchin, he’s a Democrat and will remain a Democrat.  Unlike Republicans, who are supposed to be elephants, it’s the Democrats who never forget.  If Manchin or RFK go to No Labels, they can never go back to the Democrat Party.  Clearly, lots of people are dissatisfied with both Trump and Biden, if ever there was a time for No Labels to run a candidate this is it.

FRANK ON FRIDAY – Why Christie?

Last week marked the first Republican presidential debate.  Frankly, it was a bit anti-climactic since Donald Trump, who leads all others by about 40%, didn’t appear.  Those of you who are regular readers of these pages know that I’d prefer someone other than Trump as the 2024 Republican candidate, because the four indictments against him, warranted or not, have damaged him beyond repair as a viable candidate.  That said, the rest of the field took the stage in Milwaukee.  The post-debate consensus was that Ron DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Nikki Haley did well.  The donors favored Ramaswamy and DeSantis, with increased contributions.  I don’t know how all this will shake out, but unless Trump decides not to run, which is a long shot, how the others do is academic.  Which brings me to the subject of this week’s exercise.  Exactly what purpose is served by the presence on the stage of Chris Christie?  Christie got in the race for one reason, to bash Donald Trump.  The two once were friendly.  Trump helped Christie get elected Governor in 2009.  I know this because, on Christie’s inauguration day, I was in Sacred Heart Basilica for a pre-inauguration mass when Donald and Melania Trump walked past me down the aisle, causing a nun in front of me to comment, “His hair looks even worse in person.”  Christie later helped Trump in his 2016 election campaign.  The two had a falling out, I guess over Christie’s role, or lack of one in the Trump Administration.  Anyhow, Christie now says of Trump, “A lonely, self-consumed, self-serving mirror hog is not a leader.”  It takes one to know one.  These two really are two of a kind.  Not a leader?  Christie needs to look in his own mirror on that one.  I was at the opening of Christie’s campaign headquarters in 2009, and worked as a campaign volunteer.  Christie’s speech made him sound like the second coming of Ronald Reagan, but it was all talk.  Once elected, Christie couldn’t deliver, and he quickly alienated me.  Understand, I’m a life-long Republican.  If a Republican candidate has turned me off, he’s got a problem.  With Christie, it was “three strikes and he’s out.”  Once elected, Christie made changes to the State employee pension and health care systems that required higher contributions.  This was necessary.  When the judges were ordered to pay more, they sued, citing a provision of the NJ Constitution that prohibited reducing their compensation.  When the judges won in court, Christie went into Trump-like attack mode, complaining, “They [the judges] got one of their own to rule in their favor,” thus declaring one-third of his own government corrupt.  That was strike one.  Then in 2013, while Christie was flying all over the map to support other Republicans, he refused to appear to support conservative Gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli in a winnable Virginia election.  Strike two.  That same year, when Frank Lautenberg finally died, NJ had a special election for Senator.  Now, Republican Steve Lonegan was not going to beat Spartacus Corey Booker in NJ.  But, if you’re Mr. Republican, and a Republican candidate is running in a special election that you engineered in your own State, you should at least mention his name once.  Christie never did.  Strike three.  That being said, Christie is polling all of 2% for the 2024 race.  The liberal media is pushing him, crowing that he now is second to Trump in New Hampshire, with 9%.  A closer look at the numbers reveals that while 17% of Republicans view Christie favorably, a third of Democrats see him as favorable, proving that he’s more popular with them than his own Party.  Clearly, his only appeal is as a Trump basher.  At the debate, Christie was roundly booed when introduced.  Without Trump to kick around, he went after Ramaswamy.  But on substance, Chris Christie offered nothing.  Christie once again mentioned that he was a prosecutor.  To my knowledge, Christie never tried a case as a prosecutor.   In any event, he said the best way to fight violent crime is to have the federal government take over the prosecutions.  He said he would direct each of the U.S. attorneys to “take over the prosecution of violent crime in every one of those cities that are failing to do so.”  This is unworkable, and as a U.S. Attorney Christie should know this.  First, I’m not sure what he proposes is legal.  Not every State case can be tried federally.  The federal courts can prosecute gun offenders under what’s called the Trigger Lock program, and that should be used more often.  However even if legally possible, prosecuting all violent crimes federally is not logistically possible.  There are a total of 14 federal judges in Newark, to serve all the northern counties.  They currently handle about 750 criminal cases a year.  Essex County alone has 17 judges in the Criminal Division, and should have at least 5 more, to resolve more than 15,000 annual criminal Complaints.  Add the violent crime dockets from Bergen, Hudson, Passaic, and Union Counties, and the federal court system would collapse.  Christie’s proposal is downright stupid.  Christie then once again tried to characterize himself as the next Ronald Reagan, noting that “the last Democratic incumbent who was defeated was Jimmy Carter, and he was defeated by a conservative governor from a Blue State who knew how to get results, stood for the truth, who cared about accountability and stood strong and hard against waste.”  To paraphrase Senator Lloyd Bentsen, “I knew Ronald Reagan, Ronald Reagan was a great President, and Governor, you’re no Ronald Reagan.”  Apart from his absurd personal comparison, Christie’s political analogy wasn’t even correct.  California is a misbegotten Blue State now, but not when Reagan ran for election.  In fact, in the 10 presidential elections from 1952 to 1988 the Democrats won only one time, in 1964.  So Ronald Reagan was not a Blue State Governor.  It’s clear that the answer to the question.”Why Christie?” is, “because he bashes Donald Trump.”  That’s the only reason why Democrats, and RINO’s are tolerant of Chris Christie at this time.  When he’s longer useful to them he will be consigned to the ash heap of history where he belongs.

FRANK ON FRIDAY – The Greens Fiddled While Maui Burned

As this is written, the wildfires on the island of Maui have destroyed nearly the entire town of Lahaina, have killed at least 114 people, and some 850 people remain missing.  The Hawaiian Islands were formed by fire, and indeed are still in the process of being formed, as a chain of undersea volcanoes has moved its activity from the northwest to the southeast.  Near the center of the chain sits Maui, known as the Valley Isle because it was formed by two volcanoes which spewed lava down each peak to create a valley that connected the two sea mounts into one island.  But enough for the geology.  The west Maui coast is home to most of the big resorts.  Kaanapali to the north, and Kehei and Wailea to the south.  In between these areas was Lahaina.  I say “was” because after the wildfires, Lahaina has all but ceased to exist.  Lahaina began as a whaling town in the 1820’s.  It was the site of most of the better restaurants on the island.  This town of nearly 13,000 residents was almost entirely wiped away by the fires.  Now Hawaii is a very liberal-progressive-woke place.  And of course, its leaders are committed (or is it that they should be committed) to Corrupt Demented Imbecile Joe Biden’s suicidal plan to end the use of oil and natural gas.  Once the island burned, the Governor immediately blamed the fires on, wait for it – climate change.  A more accurate assessment would have laid the blame, not on climate change, but on the Greenaholic Left’s climate change mandates.  Betsy McCaughey hit the nail on the head with her New York Post article, Greens Burned Maui.  In it she recounts how zero-carbon extremism made the devastating Maui fires almost inevitable.  You see, the Left’s drive to eliminate fossil fuel use, like all stupid Woke hair-brained schemes, has had some unexpected consequences.  Spurred on by extremist Green eco-nuts like Tom Steyer, at who’s $18 million dollar mansion Joe Biden is currently resting his senile old ass, on yet another vacation, the Biden Administration has made destroying oil and gas companies its primary goal.  The drive to move to “renewable” energy sources has put even more stress on the already teetering electricity producing companies, causing the companies to delay or eliminate maintenance measures such as removing vegetation from near power lines and poles.  It seems the money previously used for such things is now being eaten up by the idiotic green energy projects.  Add to the problem the Green maniacs, who have outlawed fire control measures such as brush clearance and controlled burns for fear of releasing CO2.  “No.  Not that!”  And so it came to pass that when winds brought down power lines the fires raged out of control.  But wait.  If the foregoing has made you angry, hold onto your hat, because you ain’t heard nothing yet.  It’s certainly bad enough that the Green movement’s mandates were the main reason the fires got out of control, but firefighting requires water, and the dedication to Woke idiocy denied the Maui residents the water they needed to mitigate the damage.  As with most tropical isles, water on Maui is a precious commodity.  The West Maui Land company manages the water supply, and the Hawaiian Water Resource Management Agency is responsible for directing water on the island.  When the fires hit Lahaina, local officials made an urgent request that water be diverted to the area to be used to put out the fires.  More than five hours went by, while the fires raged out of control, before the water finally was released.  By then, it was too late.  Was it just poor communication, or the chaos, or just negligence?  No.  It was the Left’s preoccupation with what it likes to call “equity.”  The official in charge of making the decision to divert the water explained that the water couldn’t simply be sent to the area on fire right away because he had to first “consider the impacts on downstream users.”  The Woke imbecile continued, “We can share [water] but it requires true conversations about equity,” because “water is a tool of social justice.”  So Maui officials fiddled for five hours while countless people were burned alive, and while the primary commercial center of Maui was razed to the ground after existing for nearly 200 years, and all in the name of the pagan God of Wokeism, “equity.”  When asked about the lack of water to fight the fires, Hawaii Governor Green offered only that we need to “understand there’s been a great deal of water conflict on Maui for many years.”  And such is the harvest of Woke idiocy, who’s adherents would rather see thousands of human beings burn than waiver from their mindless dedication to so-called environmentalism.  Of course, all this was enough of an insult to the good people of Hawaii, before Corrupt Demented Imbecile Joe Biden landed on Maui to make an appearance that his political handlers told him was necessary.  Surprising no one, Old Joe only made things worse.  He must have decided it was a good idea at the scene of a holocaust to open with a joke, so he interrupted his mumbling, incomprehensible speech to point out a dog wearing boots.  Biden quipped that the ground must be hot.  At a place where a thousand souls may have been lost, Biden proceeded to make the event about him, recounting the story of his former wife and daughter being killed in a car accident 50 years ago.  Then, in a town where only one house remains standing,

Joe told a story of a 20 minute electrical fire in his kitchen years ago, when he wasn’t home, and no one was injured, complaining that he almost lost his 1967 Corvette.  It may have been Biden’s stupid comments that motivated people along his motorcade route to chant “F*** Joe Biden” and “Thanks for nothing.”  Journalist H.L. Mencken said, “The people get the government they deserve, and they deserve to get it good and hard.”  The Maui disaster is a case in point.  If you elect a president who barely knows he’s alive, and local officials who don’t have the sense to send water to a fire lest they be criticized for being unsympathetic to the mandates of “equity,” you’ve reaped what you’ve sown.  I’d like to think the Left will learn from this travesty, but it won’t.
