We’ve reached an anniversary.  Not a “Happy Anniversary,” because there’s really nothing to be happy about.  It’s been a year since we were sold the “15 Days to Stop the Spread” plan.  On March 16, 2020, President Trump (Miss him yet?) announced the Wuhan Virus Guidelines for America, 15 Days to Slow the Spread.  The medical “experts” said we could get the Wuhan under control if we stayed home, avoided gathering in groups, stopped discretionary travel, and  eating in restaurants and bars for 15 days.  There were seven recommendations: 1) Listen to and follow the directions of your state and local authorities. (Little did we know where that would lead).  2) If you feel sick, stay home.  Do not go to work.  3) If your children are sick, keep them at home.  Do not send them to school. (This one soon became moot).  4) If someone in your household has tested positive, keep the entire household at home.  Do not go to work or school. (See above).  5) If you are an older person, stay home and away from other people.  6) If you are a person with a serious underlying health condition, stay home and away from other people.  7) Even if you are young, or otherwise healthy, you are at risk and your activities can increase the risk for others. (Numbers 1 through 7 cover the entire population, so they just could have said “everybody stay home”).  There was more.  Avoid social gatherings of more than 10 people.  Avoid eating or drinking in bars, restaurants, discretionary travel, shopping trips, and social visits.  Don’t visit nursing homes or retirement or long-term care facilities unless to provide critical assistance.  (Cuomo and Murphy should have memorized that one) .  It didn’t sound too bad, right?  We’d all pitch in.  We’d stay home for two weeks, and then we’d have this mess under control, right?  Not so much.  In the 15 days after March 16th, the number of U.S. cases increased from 4,945 to 199,353.  After 15 days, the plan was extended to April 30, and many States are still locked down a year later.  There are several ways to interpret the increase in cases in the first 15 days.  Some say it’s because we began doing more testing, so we got more positive tests.  An alternative explanation is that the “stay at home” “no large gathering” plan was absolutely useless, because the “experts” had no clue.  The version favored by the government is that the restrictions did work, because if we hadn’t imposed them, it would have been worse.  They have no evidence for that, of course, but then again, they have no evidence justifying any of the things they tell us we have to do.  They don’t need evidence, only opinions.  Remember the definition of an “expert.”  An expert is a person who learns more and more about less and less until finally, he knows everything about nothing.  The medical experts were wrong every step of the way, and whenever they got caught they fell back on, “It could have been worse,” which is cold comfort indeed.  Many times, they suggested that, without the restrictions, it could have been as bad as the 1918 Spanish Flu.  Just an aside.  The notion that calling Covid the Wuhan or China virus is somehow racist or xenophobic is a function of Woke Idiot cancel culture.  Disease pathogens traditionally have been named for the places where they were first encountered.  Hence, the Hong Kong Flu, Ebola Zaire, and West Nile Virus.  Think the names are only places outside the U.S.?  Think again.  Lyme Disease comes from Connecticut.  It’s Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, although it exists throughout the Western Hemisphere.  How about Ebola Reston?  This Ebola strain came from Philippine monkeys, but was identified in a Virginia research facility.  I rest my case.  It’s the Wuhan, whether they like it or not.  The Spanish really have a better argument, because the Spanish Flu started elsewhere.  Canadian historian Mark Humphries found records tracing what came to be called the 1918 Spanish Flu to a 1917 virus outbreak in Northern China.  So, nothing really has changed in a hundred years.  But I digress.  The Wuhan has been bad enough, but it was never going to be as bad as the Spanish Flu, which was 4 times more deadly, and was  more deadly for young healthy people than for older people.  The experts at that well known medical institution, CNBC, claim the two largest failings of the 15 Days To Stop the Spread guidance were that it didn’t acknowledge that people without symptoms can spread the virus, and didn’t say anything about wearing masks.  The masks.  Always the masks.  What about this?  Well, in March 2020, nobody knew how many non-symptomatic Wuhan cases there were, much less whether such people could spread the virus.  Even now, the CDC says they’re not sure.  And masks?  Give me a break.  The very same restrictions the experts ordered last year (closings, distancing, masks) were ordered in 1918, with similar dismal results.  In any case, harping on the masks is the most hypocritical of all the Wuhan restriction hypocrisies.  In March 2020, Surgeon General Jerome Adams, Dr. Deborah Birx, and the all-knowing Dr. Fauci told us not to wear masks, because they weren’t effective to protect the public from the virus.  This might have been the only thing they got right.  But after Fascist Blue State Governors whipped the public into a fear of Wuhan hysteria, aided and abetted by Congressional Democrats, a year later, schools and businesses are still closed, and they recommend wearing two masks.  When Joe Biden promised a return to “normal,” he meant post-Trump normal, not pre-Wuhan normal.  When they told us it wouldn’t be “normal” till we got the vaccine we thought they were nuts.  Now, the health Fascists say, even after the vaccine, the restrictions won’t be ended.  Biden blames it all on Trump, and claims his “plan” will save us.  This is the biggest lie of all the many lies.  Biden takes credit for more Americans be vaccinated, when he had absolutely nothing to do with making the vaccines available.  If you got a vaccine, you have one person to thank for it, Donald Trump.  Without Trump’s Operation Warp Speed, which forced the government to get off its ass and move, there would be no vaccine.  Biden has replaced Operation Warp Speed with Operation Warped Stooge.  If you’re an American citizen, you must wear 2 masks, stay home, no school, no sports, no restaurants, no groups, no work, and no life.  Spring breakers and sports fans are super-spreaders, but infected illegal aliens are welcomed guests.  It’s sickening, but maybe it’s all a part of Biden’s Warped Stooge plan.  Biden is strategically planting Wuhan infected “migrants” all over the country to spread the virus, thereby getting us to Mexican Herd Immunity.  And, when we’re as broke and helpless, and as corrupt as Mexico and the Biden family, we’ll be back to “normal.”

Corrupt Demented Imbecile Joe Biden is President for two reasons.  The first reason is the Wuhan virus.  The virus damaged Trump and provided an excuse for election changes that permitted unchecked fraud.  You may have noticed that the Wuhan is a convenient excuse for for every failure and deficiency we encounter.  During the Great Depression, the stigma of unemployment disappeared, because so many people were out of work that it became normal.  Today, we have the Covid excuse.  I’ve been at my desk, in my office, every day for the past year.  Most people haven’t been.  Tried to call a government office in the past year?  Don’t bother.  They’re not answering.  Covid.  They’re working from home.  Strangely, they also take 2 weeks to answer emails.  Covid.  Doing business by mail?  One of my Christmas cards took 8 weeks to get there.  Covid.  Mailed your bill payment on time?  The companies aren’t opening mail right away,  so you’re late.  Covid.  Why send ballots to non-citizens, non-residents, the dead, permit ballot harvesting, and eliminate ballot security?  Covid.  The second reason Biden is President is because he’s not Donald Trump.  Democrats spent 4 years demonizing Trump.  Biden was the anti-Trump.  He was marketed as a “moderate.” He’d lower the temperature, and bring “unity.”  The Covid excuse permitted Biden to hide, while a compliant media lied.  And it worked.  The problem is, Joe Biden’s not a moderate, and the Left’s definition of “unity” is, “one Party rule.”  You know, “unity,” just like in North Korea.  Biden took office January 20th, and immediately went to work on his “legacy.”  The popular notion is that Biden is a vegetable who doesn’t even know what he’s signing.  The upshot of this theory is that, were Biden lucid, he wouldn’t be issuing the Socialist edicts he’s been signing since day one.  I have a different view.  Like Il Duce Obama, if he was so disposed, Joe Biden could be a unifying President.  Obama squandered his opportunity.  Biden had a better chance to unify.  People really want the Parties to work together.  Biden could cross the aisle if he sought to unite, but he won’t.  His Party is in the hands of Leftist nuts, and Biden doesn’t aspire to be a uniter.  He aspires to out-Obama Obama.  Joe Biden played second fiddle to Il Duce for 8 years.  It’s the sad role of Vice-Presidents to be shunted aside, ignored, and ridiculed.  John Adams called the vice-presidency “the most insignificant office that ever the invention of man contrived or his imagination conceived.”  John Nance Garner put it more succinctly, declaring the vice-presidency, “not worth a warm bucket of spit.”  LBJ found that out.  Now Biden can step out of Il Duce’s shadow and fulfill the Leftist wish-list that Obama failed to supply.  That’s the legacy he wants.  Democrats have long favored open borders.  Biden vowed to undo the Trump border security policies on day one.  He kept his promise.  Stopped border wall construction, scrapped the Trump asylum restrictions, and invited “migrants” to cross the border.  He didn’t have to do all that.  Biden easily could have mollified the Left-wing nuts without encouraging a flood of illegals, but he went full anti-Trump, and now we have a crisis on the border, which Biden’s lackeys call, “not a crisis, just a problem.”  Two years ago, when a few hundred unaccompanied minors a day crossed the border, Democrats called that “a humanitarian disaster,” and accused Trump of keeping kids in cages.  Of course, Il Duce Obama built the enclosures, and now that thousands minors are crossing every day, and the same detention facilities are 729% over capacity, they’re not cages, and it’s not an emergency.  Oh, that’s because they’re not detention centers, they’re now “reception centers.” Biden has the Federal Emergency Management Administration at the border, but he says it’s not an emergency.  And anyway, if there is a problem, Nancy Pelosi says it’s all Trump’s fault because he left them “a broken immigration system.”  Of course, the Democrats broke it, and then turned down Trump’s 2018 offer to fix it.  But, following crazy Nancy’s Leftist logic, what she says sort of makes sense.  Trump foiled their plans by actually securing the border.  Through her loony lens, it’s Trump’s fault because Biden is getting the backlog of the thousands of invaders who were unable to enter for the past several years.  Biden just forgot he invited the invaders to come to the border. Plus, he’s so busy with the Wuhan crisis, he just didn’t notice the problem.Lately, Biden has had to acknowledge the influx of desperate, poor people, all of whom have somehow acquired and are wearing “Biden, Let Us In” T-shirts that sell on Etsy for $18.00 each, plus shipping.As a result, Biden is now pleading with “migrants” not to come to the border.  Biden may even go on the border to see for himself.If he goes, I recommend the chimichangas.  To add yet another insult to yet another injury, while good old moderate Joe is telling American citizens that he may, may mind you, permit some of us to celebrate July 4th, in small groups, properly masked and appropriately socially distanced, these same strictures don’t apply to his migrant invitees.  They’re not being tested for the Wuhan, they’re not being vaccinated, and thousands upon thousands of highly infected Wuhan Wilbertos, or if you prefer, Covid Carmelitas, are being released into America, to roam at will, spreading Covid, and every other disease they may have acquired in their homelands, or in Mexico, where last year, they actually stopped testing for Covid because the positivity rate was over 50%, making testing counter-productive.  Listen to the science, Joe?  The CDC still warns Americans to avoid all travel to Mexico due to Covid, while Joe Biden is admitting untested and highly contagious illegal aliens from Mexico.  I do have to agree with the Democrats about one thing, though.  What’s going on at the border isn’t a crisis, it’s a voter registration drive.  If the media told the truth, and permitted Americans to learn what’s really going on, I suspect the outcry would force changes to open-border Biden’s policies.  They don’t, so I’m afraid it will take needless American deaths caused by migrant induced disease and criminal violence before this insanity can be stopped.  This could have been avoided.  The blood is on Joe Biden’s hands.

If you doubt that we’re in a death struggle with the Left to preserve our freedom, behold the newest target of Socialist cancel-culture, Dr. Suess.  That’s right.  What could liberal fascists have against Dr. Suess, who spent his life writing books for children?  The beloved Dr. Suess, whose rhyming prose helped millions of kids learn to read?  The same Dr. Suess who published kids’ books from 1937 to 1990, and who’s been dead since 1991?  What’s their beef with him?  Well, you see, he’s a racist.  Two alleged academics, who I purposely won’t name, wrote a report for St. Catherine University’s Research on Diversity in Youth Literature, “The Cat is Out of the Bag: Orientalism, AntiBlackness, and White Supremacy in Dr. Seuss’ s Children’s Books.”  That’s all it took.  Two people we never heard of, from a school in Minnesota we never heard of, branded as a racist a man who sold 222 million books, published in more than 15 different languages.  For 80 years, readers in all those countries where the books were sold were blissfully unaware of the danger.  But finally, these two have discovered that 6 of his 45 books have illustrations that are ethnicly insensitive.  What’s more, only 2% of the characters depicted are “of color,” and the characters are all male.  Huh?  The 6 offending books were written from 1937 to 1955, so it’s not surprising that something in them might run afoul of 2021 liberal PC orthodoxy. (Note – I don’t say “political correctness.”  Modern-day book burning censors have no place in our politics, and they certainly aren’t “correct.”  PC stands for “political cowardice.”)  Only 2% are “of color,” and they’re all male?  Nonsense.  All Suess characters are of color.  They’re not “people of color” because they’re not people.  They’re Whos, Loraxes, Cats, Elephants, Things (I and II), Turtles and Sneetches.  These beings are of many colors, including green, red, yellow, black & white, and even blue.  I defy anyone to locate genitalia on any Suess illustration, and anyway, I thought the Left told us there was no such thing as gender anymore.  Certainly not Gender I and Gender II.  But once the Leftist Cat was out of the Hat, others jumped on the cancel bandwagon.  One idiot noted that The Cat in the Hat was black, but that his white gloves reminded him of racist minstrel shows.  Ay, ay, ay!  Feckless politicians jumped in, and then, the coup de grace, imbecile “celebrities” piled on Dr. Suess.  This avalanche of bull crap caused some schools to remove Suess books from Read Across America Day, March 2nd, celebrating Dr. Suess’ birthday.  Having cancelled Dr. Suess, maybe they’ll move Read Across America to April 20th, the birthday of another book burner, Adolph Hitler.   The fact that some notable Leftists have participated in publicly reading Dr. Suess books to kids doesn’t matter.              In 2015, Michele’s husband, Il Duce Obama, said, “Pretty much all the stuff you need to know is in Dr. Seuss.”  The Duce emphasized Seuss’ message of inclusivity written into many of his books.  Il Duce specifically mentioned The Sneetches, which is a great example.  The Sneetches (who are yellow, if you’re keeping score) come in two varieties, those with stars on their bellies, and those without stars.  The star bellies think they’re better than the plain bellies.  An enterprising, no doubt Socialist, entrepreneur (Al Gore comes to mind), who’s named Sylvester McMonkey McBean (also yellow, if you were worried) makes money with a machine that puts stars on the plain bellies.  Then, when the original star bellies discover they’re not special anymore, McBean cleans up, charging them to remove their stars.  The moral of the story, “No matter what you look like, you’re just as good as anyone else.”  Pretty racist, huh?  The real problem the liberal fascists have with Dr. Suess isn’t that he’s racist, because that’s absurd.  Theodore Geisel was an FDR New Deal liberal, who opposed racism and fascism all his life.  Before World War II, he was a political cartoonist, who used his talents to warn America of the dangers of fascism, communism and anti-Semitism.  He lampooned Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini, and he pleaded for racial tolerance.  Suess’ anti-fascist message carried over into his books.  Yertle the Turtle is a totalitarian dictator who tells his/her complaining subjects to just shut up, until he/she is literally overthrown.  But now they say Dr. Suess presents a clear and present danger, and so he does, but not to kids.  Dr. Suess is a danger to the fascist Left, because his messages fly in the face of identity politics, the mother’s milk of Leftist nuts.  Dr. Suess sends kids the message that, no matter who they are, or where they come from, they have opportunity, if they are self-determined and independent.  “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?”  “A person’s a person no matter how small.”  “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.”  “You’ll be on your way up!  You’ll be seeing great sights! You’ll join the high fliers who soar to high heights.”  “You’re off to great places!  Today is your day!  Your mountain is waiting so get on your way!”  “You’re on your own.  And you know what you know.  And you are the one who’ll decide where to go.”  These are fighting words to Leftists.  “You’re equal to everyone else” and “you can attain great things if you work hard and are independent” conflicts with the Leftist message of, “You’re victims, the world is unfair, America stinks, and only the government can solve your problems.”  And that’s the real problem the Left has with Dr. Suess.  For a hundred years, Progressive/Socialists have believed that they have a monopoly on early education, to indoctrinate their ideas into poor kids who never get to hear anything other than Leftist crap.  Early Progressive John Dewey supported sending kids to kindergarten, not to add an additional year of education, but to get the kids away from the influence of their parents a year earlier, the better to instill Socialist values.  So cancelling Dr. Suess is simply a way to cancel his message of hope, and replace it with the Left’s message of misery, futility and dependence.  I reject this in true Suess fashion, “I do not want them in our schools.  I cannot stand these liberal fools.  I would not like them here or there.  I would not like them anywhere.  I reject the crap they sell.  Progressives all can go to Hell.”  And while I’m on a roll, how about one more?  “I meant what I said, and I said what I meant, Progressives are crazy 100%.”

At 53 years service, Dr. Anthony Fauci is the highest paid, and  the longest serving employee of the federal government.  Fauci joined the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 1968.  In 1980, he was appointed Chief of the Laboratory of Immunoregulation.  Fauci became the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in 1984, a title he still holds.  1984 was the appropriate date for his promotion because his recent pronouncements are reminiscent of those issued by George Orwell’s Ministry of Truth.  In January 2021, Fauci also became chief medical adviser on the Wuhan virus to Corrupt Demented Imbecile Joe Biden.  Given Fauci’s tenure, and his penchant for lying to the American public, he deserves one more title, Surgeon General of the Swamp.  It pains me to write this, because for a long time, I was willing to believe Fauci was the competent, friendly doctor he portrays himself to be.  From the start of the Wuhan crisis, we’ve been belabored with demands to “follow the science.”  Dr. Fauci typified the medical expert who had all the answers and was just trying to advance public health.  Fauci was “the science.”  However, Fauci’s performance has been a litany of mistakes, deceptions, irrational pronouncements, and outright lies.  If the past year has proven anything, it’s proven that the medical experts relied upon by the U.S. government, all of whom are representatives of the most advanced medical and scientific community in the world, had absolutely no clue what the Wuhan virus was, where it was going, how to control it, how to treat its victims, or when it would subside.  Now, given the fact that the Wuhan was a brand new pathogen, all of those shortcomings could have been excused – if Fauci and the other experts had told us the truth.  They could have said, “Look, this is an unknown bug.  Until we learn more about it we need to crack down.”  We would have understood that.  But they didn’t.  Fauci and friends spoke with a disastrous combination of certitude and ignorance.  And as addicted to the spotlight as any politician, Fauci was the worst offender.  Remember, Fauci began 2020, on TV in January, February and even March, assuring Americans we had nothing to fear from the Wuhan.  I have no evidence for this, but I suspect that Fauci played down the virus because his buddies in China, a/k/a the World Health Organization, told him it wasn’t dangerous.  Fauci was advising Trump at the time.  Trump relied on Fauci.  Fauci said don’t worry, Trump repeated his advice, and the narrative became – “Trump didn’t take the virus seriously.”  Trump had televised conferences every day, at which Fauci spoke his mind.  After Trump, Fauci announced he felt “liberated,” and he accused Trump of “a lack of candor.”  This from a man who has flipped and flopped on virtually every issue, and who proudly admits he lied to us.  Fauci flipped from March 2020, “no American should be wearing a mask,” to “masks might help some,” to you must wear a mask,” to his most recent back flip, recommending that you wear two masks to keep the mask tighter on your face.  Why the changes?  Fauci admits he lied, but for our own good.  Here’s where he is now – And if you want a really tight mask, there is a better way

A year after the pandemic began, Fauci says, even after being vaccinated we must wear masks until next year, and “There are things, even if you’re vaccinated, that you’re not going to be able to do in society: for example, indoor dining, theaters, places where people congregate.”  And, of course, Fauci always sets a good exampleSo, Fauci supports stringent lockdowns and travel restrictions, right?  Wrong!  Last March, when President Trump wanted to ban flights from China, one person fought against it – Anthony Fauci.   According to Peter Navarro, “The guy I fought the most was Fauci.  He was adamantly opposed to the travel ban. All he kept saying was travel restrictions don’t work.”  Maybe Fauci’s close ties to China had something to do with his opposition.  Later, Fauci flipped, admitting that the travel ban saved lives.  Last March, Fauci was touting the “Two weeks to stop the spread” plan.  Remember that?  We would lock down for two weeks and take the pressure off hospitals.  Two weeks turned into 30 days, then 60, and a year later some States are still locked down, even though Wuhan infections are down 77%.  And Fauci is all for continued lockdowns, because they keep him on TV.  When Andrew Cuomo was busy blowing his own horn and winning an Emmy, Fauci indulged the Cuomo fairy tales, saying, Cuomo “did it correctly.”  Did what correctly?  Killed tens of thousands in nursing homes?

  What about herd immunity?  Dr. Marty Makary of Johns Hopkins reports more than half of all Americans have had Wuhan, and now have natural immunity, plus 80 million Americans have been vaccinated, and by the end of March it will be 150 million.  Makary predicts herd immunity by May.  Not Fauci.  Here, he’s done a hop, flip and jump, admitting he “slowly but deliberately has been moving the goal posts” on the percentage of the population that needs to be vaccinated before herd immunity is reached.  “When polls said only about half of all Americans would take a vaccine, I was saying herd immunity would take 70 to 75 percent.  Then, when newer surveys said 60 percent or more would take it, I thought, ‘I can nudge this up a bit,’ so I went to 80, 85.” Recently he said, “We really don’t know what the real number is.  I think the real range is somewhere between 70 to 90 percent,” and no herd immunity till late 2022.  Huh?  The more people we vaccinate, the higher the number for herd immunity?  Maybe Fauci just doesn’t want to leave the stage.

   But most alarming of all are Fauci’s ties to the Chinese government, and disturbing reports that Covid-19 may have been created in the Wuhan lab as part of research paid for by NIH.  No, this is not a right-wing conspiracy theory.  It comes from The Washington Post, which lately has embraced the Wuhan lab leak theory and called for an investigation into the research lab that was funded in part with some $7 million U.S. tax dollars from the NIH.  Fauci’s boss, NIH Director Francis Collins supported the resumption of dangerous gain-of-function research which involves passing wild viruses through live animals until they mutate into a type that could  pose a pandemic threat.  With more than 2.5 million dead worldwide, I guess they succeeded.  Fauci supported gain-of-function research, and he has been far too willing to blindly accept the lies 0f the Chinese government and their lackeys in the WHO.  Simply put, it’s time for 80 year old Dr. Fraud to retire.  With a $200k plus pension, he can afford to go.

In the course of the six years or so that I’ve been posting weekly offerings I’ve written about the passing of a notable person only once; former heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali, in 2016.  I’d be remiss if I didn’t use this week’s edition to honor the memory of Rush Limbaugh, the creator and reigning heavyweight champion of talk radio.  Since he appeared on the national scene in 1988, Rush has been the driving force of conservatism, and thus, the bane of Leftists everywhere.  For three hours a day, five days a week, he entertained and informed us with his “talent on loan from God.”  Every day was different.  Every day was stimulating.  Every issue was tackled with the ease of a man who had no trouble deciding what he believed, and with the unique charm of a man who was having the time of his life, at the same time building up his supporters, and destroying his detractors.  Regular listeners developed an almost personal attachment to Rush.  For me, as for many of his listeners, Rush was the best friend I never met.  He was a pioneer who created an industry.  People have compared Rush to Babe Ruth, but as others have noted, while the Babe was great, he didn’t invent baseball.  Before Rush, talk radio was local.  In New York we had Bob Grant in the afternoon, but talk programming was mostly a nighttime thing, with people like Barry Farber.  As wrong back then as they are today, the experts said there was no market for a nationally syndicated daytime talk radio program.  AM radio was a dying industry.  There weren’t enough talk format stations to make it work, and anyway, you couldn’t have a successful talk show on radio in the middle of the day.  It just wasn’t done.  Until Rush came riding in from Sacramento in 1988.  His show took a while to catch on.  That soon changed.  Restaurants established Rush Rooms, where patrons could have lunch without missing Rush.  Rush eventually expanded his reach to 600 stations across the country.  As this is written, the AM radio industry, once pronounced dead, now has more than 1,400 talk radio stations.  Rush’s rise wasn’t always a smooth process.  To an extent, Rush was an acquired taste for station owners and sponsors.  It took time to understand that much of what he said was tongue in cheek, with a sly twinkle in his eye.  For instance, many stations threatened to cut him off when he discussed “women farding in their cars.”  According to Merriam-Webster, “farding” means the application of cosmetics, but no one had ever heard that word in 1988, and of course, Rush, being Rush, didn’t immediately explain.  He just set off the bomb and then stood back to admire the mayhem.  That was typical, and Rush’s opponents on the Left never got the joke.  Rush was so hated by the Left because he had their number.  Only Rush could christen them “the drive by media,” it drove them nuts.  The Left complained that Rush Limbaugh was responsible for the rise of conservative political movements, like the Contract With America and the Tea Party, because he turned his listeners into mind-numbed robots who simply parroted his heresy.  They were half right.  Rush Limbaugh provided his listeners with the message that they were neither alone nor out of the mainstream.  We didn’t need Rush to tell us what we believed.  We already knew.  We were conservatives who were constantly bombarded by a liberal media.  There was no national voice of conservatism, until Rush.  Remember, in 1988, there was no Fox News, OAN or News Max, and no internet.  But there was Rush, proclaiming the gospel of Ronald Reagan, whom he dubbed, “Renaldus Magnus.”  And contrary to Leftist opinion, there was nothing extreme about the message.  It was simple.  “We have a Constitution that is the supreme law of the land, it guarantees us certain freedoms, and is supposed to ensure the separation of powers, to prevent the federal government from dominating the States.  These freedoms were endowed by God, and no government has the authority to infringe them.”  Strangely, Leftists consider such sentiments unacceptable.  Rush straightened them out.  And since tyrants don’t enjoy being told they’re wrong, they hated him, and denounced his every utterance.  In a way, the treatment the Left gave Rush was just a warm up for its treatment of Donald Trump, and like Trump, Rush gave them plenty of ammunition, and delighted in their attacks.  They never understood that their attacks only made him stronger.  Leftists have no sense of humor, so some of the attacks were based on their real or feigned failure to comprehend what was a joke.  For instance, one April 1st, Rush came on and for the first hour he expounded on the idea that we ought to tax the poor, before revealing it was a joke.  The Left reported it as his serious opinion.  Again, as with Trump, the Left criticized Rush’s “tone.”  How dare he claim to be right 99.8% of the time, although he was.  How arrogant to claim he had half his brain tied behind his back, just to make it fair?  Sometimes the Left just made stuff up, branding him racist, sexist, etc., based on imaginary statements that they attributed to Rush.  They had to lie about him, because they never could handle the truth.  And afflicted as they are with delusions of rectitude, they never could understand why conservative talk radio thrives, while liberal attempts to enter the format, like Air America, have been utter failures.  The Leftist whacko organization, Center for American Progress complains that, of the 1,400 talk stations, only 9% air liberal programming.  It hasn’t occurred to them that this is because nobody wants to listen to their bullcrap.  Rush knew that the American Dream wasn’t a white male dream.  His genius was his understanding that, once properly informed, most Americans will choose an America endowed with the blessings of liberty, over the Progressive gulag.  The American Dream was for all Americans, regardless of their backgrounds.  This was the message that the Left had to stifle.  They considered Rush the most dangerous man in America because he endangered them.  The best testament to their fear and loathing was the fact they denounced Rush even after he died.  For Rush listeners, 12:07 p.m. will never be the same.  His voice may have been stilled, but his impact lives on.  No one can ever fill the Attila the Hun chair, behind the golden EIB microphone.   So Mega-Dittos Rush.
