One week from the 2024 election, and the breadth and depth of the Republican victory is beginning to take shape. Donald Trump won all the swing States and a total of 312 electoral votes. The results have been startling to both Parties. Trump increased his share of the vote in virtually every county in the nation. He cut a 16 point deficit in New Jersey to 5%, and drastically cut into his 2016 and 2020 deficits in New York, California, and just about every other State. Earlier, I said if Trump got within 5% in New Jersey he would win all the swing States. At the time, I thought that judgment a bit optimistic, but it came to pass.
On her part, Kamala, a/k/a, Que Mala, Harris was unable to increase the Democrat share of the vote in any county in the U.S. Republicans won 53 Senate seats, and are poised to maintain control of the House. The extent of the destruction has been sobering for Democrats. They staked everything on their hatred of all things Trump, and they lost big time. The fallout has been so shocking that Democrats were unable to orchestrate anti-Trump protests and riots in the streets. They may come later, but right now all Democrats have been able to do is to assemble their usual circular firing squad, and blame one another for the defeat.
The extent of their failures is only now coming into focus. In 2016, Trump won 30 States, and lost the popular vote by 2.8 million. In 2020, the States were split 25 each, and Trump got 74 million votes, losing the popular vote by 7 million, when Biden supposedly got 81 million votes. This year, Trump won 32 States, got 75 million votes, and is more than 3 million votes ahead in the popular vote.
In so doing, Trump increased his share of voting blocs dramatically. +12% among voters under 30. +25% with voters earning less than $50,000. +18% with voters with no college. +15% with Blacks. +38% with Hispanics. +32 with Asians. +8% among all female voters. His share of votes from Muslims and Jews also went up. Democrats are justifiably alarmed, and the blame game is in full swing.
Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders placed the blame on a Democrat Party that abandoned the working class. Nancy Pelosi took exception to that judgment, and laid the blame on Joe Biden, who she said should have bowed out sooner to permit an open primary. Instead, complained Nancy, Biden waited too long and then endorsed Kamala. Translation – We knew Kamala was no good, but were stuck with her.
Then, proving Democrats still don’t get it, Pelosi pointed to “cultural issues” for the loss, naming “Guns, God, and Gays” as reasons for the defeat. Clearly, Nancy can’t understand voters’ preoccupation with protecting their First and Second Amendment rights, instead of prioritizing sexual preference. What Pelosi means is, “The voters were just too stupid to choose Que Mala.”
CNN’s Fareed Zacaria came closer to the truth, but still missed the mark. He named three reasons. 1) Biden was blind to the border mess. (No – the border mess was Biden’s policy). 2) Overzealous political prosecutions of Trump “gave the impression” that the justice system had been weaponized. (No – it wasn’t just an impression. The system was weaponized against Trump). 3) Democrats were too concerned with identity politics. (While true, this is a hard fault to fix. Without dividing voters into groups to be played against one another, Democrats have no plan).
Many of the post-election comments proved that, even after the electoral beating, Democrats still miss the point. A Que Mala pollster said, “If the economy were perceived by voters as swimming, things might be different. But for now, it’s clear these voters I’m talking about — particularly young men, Black men, Hispanic men, and rural White voters — do not see the Democrats as addressing their everyday needs.” Democrats confuse reality with perception. There wasn’t inflation, there was a perception of high prices. Crime isn’t running rampant, there’s a perception you’re not safe.
Sorry, Democrats. The problem wasn’t your message, it was your product. People don’t perceive that they can’t pay their bills; they’re broke. People don’t perceive they’re unsafe, they’ve been robbed. And the working people who voted for Donald Trump didn’t just perceive that the Democrat Party had done nothing for them. Democrats proved themselves too preoccupied with illegal aliens, transgender surgeries, and Drag Queen story hour to deal with the problems of mere American citizens. So Democrats paid the price. As always, Senator John Kennedy said it best. “Republicans aren’t perfect, but the other side is crazy.”
On top of all this, Que Mala Harris ran the most inept presidential campaign in American history. Although she had no primary campaign in which to introduce herself to voters, Que Mala at first refused to make public appearances to answer questions, even from fawning psuedo-journalists. Que Mala had one message – “I am not Trump.” That proved to be insufficient.
Proving that Democrats never should be allowed to handle money, Que Mala raised $1.2 billion from the usual Leftist suspects. She managed to spend all of it, and wound up $20 million in debt. A cursory review of Que Mala’s campaign spending proved that the entirety of her campaign was just as fake as she is.
Que Mala was awash with the support of numerous so-called celebrities, such as Oprah, Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry, right? Well, not so much. It turns out Que Mala had to pay them for their participation in her campaign. Billionaire Oprah got $1 million, and the pre-election concerts in big cities cost the campaign the $20 million that Que Mala now owes. She even paid Al Sharpton $500,000. Great investment, huh? These revelations underscore Que Mala’s unpopularity. Trump didn’t have to pay Elon Musk, Dana White or Hulk Hogan. Poor Que Mala. It’s like the old joke, “They had to tie a pork chop around her neck just to get the dog to play with her.”
The truth is that Democrats, all suffering from delusions of rectitude, believed their own bullshit. They thought Que Mala would win, so she had to win. Now many Democrats, especially large and small donors who were taken in, are understandably angry. And Democrat Governors, the place where one normally would look for 2028 nominees, are offering nothing but resistance to Trump. Or as Al Sharpton once said, “Resist, we much.” Congressional Democrats are still discussing attempting to stop Trump from being certified as President. I thought that was called insurrection. Good luck with that.
Democrats now face a long road back. Because they believe themselves always to be right, they will have a hard time fixing their problems. I couldn’t be happier.
