I’m a fan of the Clive Cussler Oregon Files franchise of books.  The latest installment involves a plot to draw the U.S. into a war between the NATO forces and Russia.  There was a line in the story that hit quite close to home and inspired this piece.  “Truth is treason in an empire of lies.”  Unfortunately, that line aptly describes our current circumstances.  In the Biden Administration in particular, and the United States in general, statements of the truth have been labelled as treason, while a tissue of lies is foisted on an unsuspecting public.  I always thought that the American people were too smart to fall for such chicanery, but now, I’m not so sure.  The late Rush Limbaugh used to talk about people he called “low information voters,” who could be shielded from the truth and convinced to vote for Democrats despite the fact that their votes were not in their own best interests.  Thanks to the Leftist hijacking of the educational system and the mainstream media outlets, and the manipulation of mail-in ballots after the Wuhan plague, I’m afraid that a majority of the voting public now falls into that category.  The current system permits the Biden Administration and its Leftist minions to lie with impunity.  You really can’t blame them for lying, when they know that they can say anything they want, secure in the knowledge that whatever the lie, no matter how blatant, and no matter how divorced it may be from reality, the media moguls will swear to it, while at the same time, suppressing the truth as “misinformation” that “puts our democracy at risk.”  Just look around.  Take corrupt demented imbecile Joe Biden personally.  He says he graduated at the top of his law school class.  It’s a lie.  He graduated 76th out of 85 students.  Depending on his audience, Joe either was raised Greek, Puerto Rican, African-American, Irish, or whatever.  He says he was a truck driver.  All lies, covered up by the media Empire of Lies.  Any contradiction is treason.  Joe says he’s reduced the deficit by over $1 trillion.  He’s actually raised it more than that, but the truth isn’t permitted.  Take Hunter Biden.  There is indisputable evidence that he took millions of dollars from foreign governmental interests, and transferred millions to family members, including Old Joe.  If there were bank records showing such payments to people named Trump, they would all already be in Leavenworth.  But anyone who might mention this is branded a liar, and we are told there’s really no evidence because it’s never been investigated and proven.  At the same time, no investigation is permitted.  Look at the border.  Joe let in over 4 million illegal alien invaders, then transported them all over the country at our expense.  They’re called “migrants” but they’re never leaving.  We’re told they’re only here to seek asylum, and that over 95% of asylum seekers are rejected.  But none of them are ever deported, nor will they ever be deported.  Democrats took pride in predicting that U.S. demographics were replacing caucasions with minorities.  Mention that now and you’re a traitor spreading unproven replacement theories.  The southern border has been erased.  Mexican drug cartel members are coming in to set up shop north of the border.  Democrats do nothing.  Tons of drugs are coming in, drugs that are killing more than 100,000 Americans a year.  Democrats do nothing, and Biden says the border is secure.  When even Eric Adams complains that Biden is destroying the country, that’s not reported.  Biden says the border is secure, despite videos of thousands of people from more than 100 countries back-stroking across the Rio Grande.  We’re not shown that, so it isn’t really happening.  Except it is happening.  Donald Trump tried to tell the truth.  Look what happened to him.  He said he was being framed by the Democrats, illegally investigated by the FBI and CIA, and wrongfully impeached … twice.  All those things are true.  This week, John Durham finally released a report proving that.  I told you that in these pages in 2017.  What’s the official message?  Trump lies, he’s a fascist, and he incited an insurrection that … wait for it … is an imminent threat to “our democracy.”  Seeing a pattern here?  It’s pervasive.  Take the environment.  Leftists used to be fond on saying “Save the whales.”  Now they’re embarked on a stupid drive for green energy.  Their off-shore wind turbines are killing dozens of whales every week.  We know this because dead whales keep washing up on our shores.  They won’t turn off the turbines, though, so now it’s “Screw the whales” we have to plug in our electric cars.  More lies there.  All cars must be electric by 2030.  That’s a bald-faced lie.  It will never  happen and physically cannot happen.  Anybody in touch with reality knows this.  Only reality no longer matters.  In truth, reality no longer exists.  Reality is what is true, and truth is treason.  Need I go on?  The Leftist orthodoxy all around us is a total disregard for reality and a rejection of the truth.  This weekend, Joe Biden said again that the greatest threat facing America is from white supremecists.  It’s an obvious lie, and a provable lie.  If we had an honest media, someone might well ask, “If white supremecists are a threat, what is the Biden Administration doing about it?”  When was the last indictment brought against a white supremecist group?  If charges haven’t been brought, why not?  If Biden isn’t lying, then doesn’t that mean his Justice Department is inept?  It’s all a function of the reality that America has become an Empire of Lies.  How else could a group like the bastards of Antifa conduct itself like Nazi Brownshirts and still be referred to as anti-fascist?  How else could they attack courthouses, burn down police stations, destroy property, and commit murder and aggravated assault and still escape prosecution, or at least condemnation?  If we permit a corrupt, out of control government to be the arbiter of truth, that is an imminent threat to “our democracy.” When it’s time for you to vote, forget about the political labels, and choose reality and your own survival over the Empire of Lies.
