FRANK ON FRIDAY – Sick and Getting Sicker

There used to be a radio talk show host in New York named Bob Grant.  He passed away some years ago.  Bob Grant was one of the originators of talk radio, and one of the first conservative hosts, thus causing his name to be preceded by the word “controversial.”  That means he told the truth, no matter what Leftists thought of him.  As he surveyed the world around him, Bob Grant was prone to observe, “It’s sick out there, and getting sicker.”  As I surveyed the reactions to President Trump’s positive Wuhan virus test by Democrat politicians, the media, and other segments of the traveling circus that is the Left, I was reminded of Grant’s words.  They truly are sick, and getting sicker.  Keep in mind these are the same people who constantly preach empathy and understanding, not just for people afflicted with the Wuhan, but for protesters, rioters, arsonists, looters, those who assault the police, and the other assorted criminals who make up the Democrat base.  I understand that they hate Donald Trump.  I get it.  I understand they want to defeat him at the polls.  I get it, and there’s nothing wrong with that.  I even understand why so many otherwise intelligent people are willing to vote for a gibbering vegetable like Joe Biden.  More about him later.  The Democrats have pulled out all the stops trying to kill off Donald Trump politically.  Obama and Biden spied on his campaign, lied about non-existent Russian collusion, falsified evidence and affidavits, and railroaded his staffers.  Democrats oppose every Trump policy, lie about him, subjected him to a phony impeachment, and persecute him with bogus investigations.  Now, they threaten to cancel the Constitution, pack the courts, add new Senators, and abolish the electoral college.  They clearly want Trump politically dead, but I had hoped that they might stop short of wishing him literally dead.  When it was announced that Trump and the First Lady tested positive for the Wuhan, the left wing was wary and jubilant.  Some of the nuts doubted Trump was sick.  The slovenly compost heap known as Michael Moore said,  “He’s an evil genius and I raise the possibility of him lying about having COVID-19.  He knows being sick tends to gain one sympathy.” But Democrats have no sympathy, a poll found 4o% of Democrats “happy” Trump was ill, and 31% “excited.”  Many took ghoulish delight at the prospect that the first couple might die.  Reporters giddily told us that at age 74 “and morbidly obese” Trump’s outlook was bleak.  Vanity Fair “reporter” Gabriel Sherman suggested Trump might appoint Ivanka to succeed him.  So the Left covered all the bases, from Trump’s not sick to Trump’s at death’s door.  Crazy Bee-atch Jennifer Rubin of The Washington Post said, “He should resign immediately.”  Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy predicted, “Trump surrogate Vladimir Putin will be campaigning for him while he’s quarantined.”  Others were itching to push Trump, and the First Lady, through death’s door.   California Congressional candidate Steve Cox – “I hope they both die.”  Former Hillary Clinton campaign spokesperson Zara Rahim agreed.  Elizabeth Warren staffer Max Berger perfectly explained the “mindset” of the Left,  “He’s a corrupt, white supremacist criminal who’s responsible for more American deaths than 9/11 and the wars in Vietnam, Korea, Iraq and WWI combined.  No one should feel bad for him.  Who’s pain matters is a political question.  Who we should sympathize with is a political question.  Trump has destroyed millions of lives.  He deserves none of our sympathy.”  Jane Fonda (she still alive?) concurred, calling Covid-19 “God’s gift to the Left.”  That’s one sick bitch.  CNN’s not fake news right?  Here’s CNN’s Gerald Sisnette, “The only way this will go away is when he dies.  Hopefully soon.”  Some were more charitable, comedian Kathy Griffin (she still alive?) said, “OK, fine.  I’ll pray for him and the wife on one condition.  NOT mild symptoms.  And they each go on a ventilator, for at least 5 days.  That’s my best and final.”  And when the President went to Walter Reed Hospital, the liberal crumbs were overjoyed.  They finally had Trump this time.  Even if he didn’t die, he couldn’t campaign, and mumbling imbecile Joe Biden would win.  But there is no joy in Crumbville, mighty Trump is out of the hospital, raring to go, and telling people not to let the virus dominate their lives.  The Left is apoplectic.  How dare Trump recover?  How dare he leave the hospital?  How dare he still be alive?  Back to Bee-atch Jennifer Rubin, “You are a menace to everyone around you, Dr. Conley should lose his license after this.  Congress might want to defund Walter Reed.  It is a public health hazard.”  As Trump left Walter Reed, a “reporter” yelled, “Are you a super-spreader?”  No, but you’re a manure spreader.  When Trump got back to the White House and took off his mask, CNN’s John Berman yelled, “Don’t show that, it will kill people.” It clearly killed CNN to see Trump standing upright.  They don’t get it, and needless to say, like most other things, Joe Biden doesn’t get it either.  He’s embarrassed the President got the virus.  “Anybody who contracts the virus by essentially saying, masks don’t matter, social distancing doesn’t matter,  I think is responsible for what happens to them.”  No place has more stringent restrictions and more frequent testing than the White House.  Virginia has statewide mask requirements.  The Governor is a doctor, always wore a mask, and he got Wuhan.  That didn’t embarrass Joe.  Former New York Times reporter Alex Berenson does get it.  “That might be the most presidential thing this president has ever said.”  “He’s not actually saying ‘Don’t be afraid of Covid.’  He’s saying don’t be afraid of one another.”  The President showed leadership.  Democrats don’t understand that, preferring to keep Americans cowering in the basement, like you know who.  Trump isn’t advising recklessness, he saying that, virus or no virus, the U.S. government cannot shut down, and a President cannot go into hiding.  A president must act, and must be seen to act.  Any candidate who doesn’t understand that shouldn’t be president.  That’s the choice we face.  Joe Biden views “wearing this mask as a patriotic responsibility.”  Donald Trump views carrying out the duties of his office as a patriotic responsibility.  The late, great Bob Grant always ended his shows with, “Your influence counts.  Use it!”  Use your influence on November 3rd.
