Since its inception, Donald Trump has denounced the investigation of his election by Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his merry band of Trump haters as a witch hunt. Trump said “witch hunt” so many times that the so-called “Mueller Report” even lists calling the investigation a witch hunt as a potential means of charging the President with obstruction of justice. The Mueller Report was issued in May, and was made public. Mueller reported that his investigation showed that the Russians tried to interfere with our election, but that there was no evidence, that is NO EVIDENCE, after thousands of subpoenas, 500 search warrants, and interrogations of witnesses in a number of countries, of any conspiracy with the Russians by any American – including the President and any of his supporters. That wasn’t good enough for the Democrats, however, who have continued to claim that there is evidence of collusion. The Dems wanted a do over. They wanted to call all the witnesses who already testified to ask them again. Then, they demanded that Robert Mueller testify in person. Mueller told us in May, in an uncomfortable 9 minute statement, that he had nothing to say other than what was in the 448 page report. If subpoenaed, he said, he would say nothing that wasn’t in the report. The Dems demanded that he testify nevertheless. They were sure that, once on the witness stand, Mueller would admit what Democrats continue to believe without evidence, that Donald Trump is guilty of obstructing justice, and that he was elected only because he made a traitorous deal with the Russians. Of course, this is crazy, but than again, the Democrats who currently run the asylum formerly known as the House of Representatives, are crazy, one and all. On Wednesday, the long awaited Mueller testimony took place. It was disastrous for Democrats, hoping against hope that Mueller would say, “Go ahead. Impeach the President. We all know he’s guilty.” That didn’t happen. Mueller came off as a doddering fool, and the Democrats were embarrassed. Don’t take my word for it. Listen to the words of depressed liberal imbeciles. Harvard Law School professor Laurence Tribe hates President Trump. he said, “Much as I hate to say it, this morning’s hearing was a disaster.” ABC’s Terry Moran announced, “Impeachment’s over.” Hillary henchperson David Axelrod, called Mueller’s testimony, “very, very painful.” Republican spokesperson attorney Harmeet Dhillon was less kind, describing Mueller’s testimonial performance as defensive, evasive and senile. That may be an understatement. Mueller continuously didn’t hear or understand the questions. More than 200 times, his answer was, “I can’t comment on that.” Several times, he had to be reminded that the question concerned something in the report. Mueller proved one thing. He had little to do with the both the investigation and the report. He did not hire the lawyers. Trump hater Andrew Weissman did that. Mueller didn’t attend interviews, and he clearly did not write the report issued in his name. For instance, anyone paying attention knows that Hillary hired the company Fusion GPS to get the phony Steele dossier filled with Russian lies. Mueller, who Democrats assured us sees all and knows all, testified he “wasn’t familiar” with Fusion. Mueller even lied, until he was forced to issue a “correction.” He told left-wing nut Ted Lieu, the Office of Legal Counsel’s long-held position against charging a president while he is in office prevented him from indicting the President. Mueller later had to walk that back. After doing a credible impression of Ralph Kramden’s “Humina, humina, humina,” Mueller admitted, “we did not reach a determination as to whether the President committed a crime.” Mueller did give Democrats the red meat they wanted, confirming the nonsensical part of the report announcing that he did not “exonerate” the President. Chairman Nadler even raised that bar, asking if Mueller “totally exonerated” Trump. Republicans honed in on this. Asked whether he had ever issued an exoneration of any other person he investigated, Mueller couldn’t think of one. Asked if he ever held any person other than Donald Trump to the “not exonerated” standard, Mueller couldn’t name one, but he lamely offered, “This was a unique situation.” That’s about the only thing Mueller said that I agree with. This was a unique situation. It is the only time that governmental officials from one Party, enlisted the Justice Department, the FBI, the CIA and representatives of foreign intelligence agencies to undo the lawful election of a President of the United States. That would make a great story if the mainstream media actually reported the news. Here’s some free legal advice. When a judge instructs a jury, the jurors are told that nothing can be proven to an absolute certainty, e.g., “total exoneration.” So the Democrat standard is that if you can’t prove the impossible, Trump is guilty. I love a fair trial. Mueller was justly savaged by the Republican Committee members. Louie Gohmert said of the President, “What he’s doing is not obstructing justice; he is pursuing justice and the fact you ran it out two years means you perpetuated injustice!” Devin Nunes began his remarks, “Welcome everyone, to the last gasp of the Russian collusion conspiracy theory,” He compared Democrat claims that evidence of collusion actually exists to those who insist that the Loch Ness Monster is real. My favorite comment, though came from California Republican Tom McClintock, who told Mueller, “You couldn’t make a legal case, so you made a political case, dropped it on our doorstep, lit it on fire, rang the doorbell and ran.” That is so true. Mueller tried to defend himself, his investigation was not a witch hunt. This was eerily reminiscent of Richard Nixon’s, “I am not a crook.” The Mueller fiasco before Congress should spell the end of Robert Mueller as the anointed savior of the Democrats. It’s a shame, because he used to have a good reputation. Now that’s gone. Mueller looked inept and foolish. By lending his formerly good name to this to a coup de etat, he did this country a grave disservice. The bottom line is that Democrats wanted Mueller to light the flame of impeachment. They failed miserably. Now they should burn. Ding dong, the witch is dead.
